Exhibition

The Lepsiushaus Potsdam is home to a permanent exhibition on the life and work of Johannes Lepsius. The exhibition takes the viewer on a trip through the life of the Lepsiushaus’s namesake. How did Lepsius come to dedicate his life to the Armenian cause? What were his motivations, and what kept him going, even after bitter setbacks?

This biography of commitment is framed by an account of the external circumstances. Who were the allies Lepsius found to support his mission? What obstacles did he encounter in organizing aid and investigating the crimes? Visitors are also given an insight into the wider international political context that Lepsius had constantly to navigate. The story is accompanied and complemented by numerous contemporary photographs.

You can visit the exhibition during one of our events or arrange an appointment by contacting Michael Kühn.
