Lepsius Library

The Lepsius Library contains around 7,000 items, primarily in German, English, French, Armenian, Russian and Swedish. Its fully catalogued holdings include literature on the Armenian genocide, comparative genocide research, Armenian culture and history, theology, Armenology, patristics, and Islamic and Christian religious studies.

All of Lepsius’ monographs (first editions) and journals are available; the latter also in digital form. The collection also includes many source monographs and historical journals, including a full archive of Der Christliche Orient, as well as around 100 digital media. The basis of the collection is the comprehensive library bequeathed by Hermann Goltz, Lepsius expert and founder of the Lepsiushaus.

The archive and library offer workstations with internet access. Use of these facilities can be arranged with Michael Kühn.
