On the subject: Since the signing of the Comprehensive and Deepened Partnership Agreement between the EU and Armenia (CEPA) in November 2017, but particularly since the Velvet Revolution of 2018, Armenia's relations with the European Union and Germany have gained enormous momentum. In addition to intensifying relations in and around Nagorno-Karabakh, the dramatic developments in and around Nagorno-Karabakh have led to a dramatic rethink of the country's security architecture. An even closer connection with the EU is now also the subject of discussion.
