In cooperation with the German-Armenian Society, the Lepsiushaus Potsdam invites you to a multimedia presentation:

“I want to live!” Armenia's Wounds, Strength, and Hope

A multimedia journey through the history of Armenia by and with Heinrich Geuther

Under this title, Heinrich Geuther, Deputy Chairman of the German-Armenian Society, dives deep into the history of Armenia, the oldest Christian nation in the world.

Based on the biographies of various personalities, his multimedia presentation creates an impressive picture of Armenia; including a mystical state founder, letter soldiers, a writer who disappeared without a trace, strong women and an unconventional filmmaker — all in the midst of mysterious monasteries, lonely fortresses and a breathtaking landscape. It is a story of despair and departure, of deep religiousness and openness to the world, of death and hope.

Following the event, there will be an opportunity to talk over cheese sticks and drinks.

Heinrich Geuther, born in 1960 in the former GDR, had an insatiable curiosity about distant countries even as a child. The physicist, journalist and human rights activist sets out again and again to find a light in the darkness, meet people and discover the true stories behind the superficial clichés of our mainstream media.
