Traces of War.

The film “Traces of War. Traces of War” documents the life and everyday life of Armenians twenty years after the first war in Nagorno-Karabakh. However, the Armenians, who traditionally populated this area, were not dissuaded from courageously taking their lives into their own hands and working for a peaceful future in a recognized state, even though the traces of war were still shaping everyday life.

Jana Richter, filmmaker and lecturer in media education at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, will present her documentary “Traces of War” from 2015 about the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Against the backdrop of the violent expulsion of the entire Armenian population from the region in 2023, this film document once again shows scenes of everyday life from a country that no longer exists.

The documentary is shown in Armenian with German subtitles.
